Providence Roller derby will be hosting the London Roller Girls on Sunday April 18th. Tickets will be available at www.ArtTixRI.com

This will be the first time the Riveters will host a team from abroad. The Riveters will be playing on their home turf, the Rhode Island Convention Center in downtown Providence, right off of I-95. They are excited to be battling the WFTDA apprentice league from London, and are optimistic about their 2010 season opener. London Brawling will be captained by seasoned vet Blocker/Jammer Kamikaze Kitten.

Filling the void left by 2009 retirees, Providence has new blood. Fans will see skaters like Hot Apple Cry, former Killah Bee, (transfer from Texas Roller Derby,) and Sweet Tease, (formerly of the Atlanta Roller Girls.) These new Riveters will battle on the front lines with the the rest of the All-Stars, Captained by Sass E. McNasty, and Coached by Buzzy O’ Fficial. Sunday Bloody Sunday at 3:00pm will be a brawl to remember. Be there on April 18th to support America and see history in the making.
